Atlas IPA is a CMS-approved accountable care organization (ACO) that is participating in the ACO Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health (ACO REACH) model. As an ACO, Atlas offers high quality health care and other supportive benefits designed to improve the quality of life for high risk and high needs Medicare patients living throughout the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau and Westchester counties.
Mission
Atlas IPA is part of practice management of Essen Health Care. It leads payors negotiations, and supports the practice with credentialing and IT solutions needed for the optimal care of patients. It supports providers within and outside Essen with compliance regulations, administrative contracts and other overhead issues. The Independent Practice Association (IPA) aligns providers with a variety of goals including improving quality of care and reducing cost
